Weekend Round-Up Part One

Well silly old Hairy-Armpits (Mrs Sung) is a bit miffed that I didn’t get home until midnight on Monday. I tried to explain that I couldn’t exactly say no when the President of the Korean Kumdo Association invited me for tea, but she doesn’t understand. *sigh* I think I’m having my rebellious-teenager era now. I’m so misunderstood! *revs up motor-cycle*

Today I went out and did a touch of shopping in Incheon’s big underground market/mall. It follows the subway lines and takes hours to see everything. The stuff is dirt cheap and some of it is of equally poor quality. Especially the Konglish on t-shirts:

Independence Day

If there’s one bad thing about my host family, it’s that they can be TOO nice a lot of the time. I’m not allowed out to explore, there’s always somebody insisting that they’ll go along with me. I appreciate their concern and I enjoy their company, but I’m used to being independent on holidays. I’m a good traveller and I never get lost. I like discovering things for myself and learning from my own mistakes.
